Vita

Mehrdad Mehregani is Project Manager at Bertelsmann Stiftung working on migration and refugee policy in Germany and the EU. He led the initiative “Making Asylum Systems Work in Europe”, a cooperation of six European think tanks and foundations, contributing to the capacity building of national asylum systems to function more effectively. He is in charge of Bertelsmann Stiftung’s engagement in the resettlement pilot project “Neustart im Team” (NesT) and represents the foundation at the Federal Ministry of Interior’s working group. Before joining Bertelsmann Stiftung in 2016, Mehrdad was in charge of the high-level Fellowship Programme of Stiftung Mercator and worked on European politics and German foreign policy. He was also a researcher at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva. Mehrdad holds a Master of Science in EU Politics from the London School of Economics (LSE).
