Ruby Lambert is a Sustainability Expert at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). She is a versatile communicator with 10 years of multifaceted expertise acquired through various industries, namely FMCG, pharmaceutical, governmental and international organisations. Currently, Ruby is specialised in the facilitation of Voluntary Sustainability Standards as a market response and global trade instrument to address the growing ecological and social challenges. She has represented the United Nations Forum on Sustainability Standards (UNFSS) as a speaker on several occasions, particularly focused on the impact of sustainability standards on global trade and its interactions with global value chains and public policy. Ruby's flair for writing paved her way in the editorial of UNFSS news articles and a contributor in several UNCTAD publications. Born and raised in Singapore, Ruby holds a B.A in Communications and Media Studies at Murdoch University, Australia and a M.A in Standardization, Social Regulation and Sustainable Development, a specialised programme in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
