Vita
Martina joined the Bertelsmann Stiftung in 2017. Since October 2018, she is head of the new project “Demographic Resilience and Participation” in the Megatrends program. The project analyses how the effects of population aging interact and cumulate between public services systems and infrastructures. Building on this, it develops political concepts that take into account the multiple pressure of population aging and have a stabilising effect on several supply systems.
Martina studied, among others, political science in Bonn and Aix-en-Provence, France. She holds a doctorate in political science and is specialized in demographic policy in France and Germany. Before joining the Bertelsmann Stiftung, she received several scholarships from, among others, the Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, and worked at the University of Bonn.
