Economist Gabriel Felbermayr has been director of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research and professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Previously, he was president of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He researches, teaches, and consults on globalization issues and general economic policy. Among other positions, he is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and Chairman of the Austrian Statistics Council.
