Martin Hullin is the director of the Digitalisation and the Common Good programme at the Bertelsmann Stiftung.

His main responsibilities include developing innovative approaches at a national and international level, the public representation of the programme and its projects, and contributing empirical evidence and case studies to relevant decision-making processes.

Previously, he was the co-founder and deputy executive director of the Datasphere Initiative and the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network in Paris, France.

Before building thematic expert networks in the field of international digital and data policy, Hullin was responsible for formalising a leading global renewable energy network and worked as a consultant for the United Nations Environment Programme and GIZ.

As well as being a public speaker on international digital and data policy, he led a variety of impact-oriented cooperation projects in LAC, Africa, Asia and North America.

Martin holds a master's degree in international relations from the Freie University of Berlin and a double degree in international management. He has worked in Washington DC, Shanghai and Berlin, where he was the CEO of an award-winning knowledge management startup. He speaks English, German, Polish and French.
