As Colombia emerges from a reputation as the capital of conflict and cocaine, it faces economic challenges driven by history and geography. Our discussion with Michael Reid explores some of those challenges and how well Colombia is placed to meet them.

While Colombia benefits from a well-run government and a historic agreement with FARC, infrastructure and a history of a closed economy mean there is a much to do to build a stable economy. Mr. Reid discusses some of the key issues facing this thriving Latin American country in his interview with GED’s Samuel George.
