„Christian is an economist with the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Before taking up this position, we worked with Bertelsmann Stiftung for five years, specialising on issues relating to international trade, in particular global economic governance and EU trade policy. He also published the book „Europe’s Trade Strategy for the Age of Geoeconomic Globalisation“.

He is also a Programme Associate of the European University Institute’s Global Governance Programme. Christian holds a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Cambridge and a master’s degree in „Economics and Public Policy“ from SciencesPo Paris.“
